I wash him once a month year round.

  • Deanna

My dog is supposed to be white. BUT she loves to be dirty. I have to bathe her often so she doesn’t turn yellow…maybe every other week (unless we play at the lake then it is more often).

  • Barlee Creations

    About once a month.

  • 49tam

With our huge 200plus pound Saint Benard in the house 24 7 we would be so very happy to win this. You have to get vaccinations to have your pet bathed at the groomers! I don’t trust those awful vaccines! So we are forced to bathe our huge dog. And trust me each time we do it feels like we are giving the entire earth a bath.

I have two rough collies. Bath time doens’t mean simply shampoo and rinsing but the whole 9 yards. First I brush them out, then it’s shampoo time, rinsing for a good long time then conditioner/detangler and more rinsing to make sure their skin is clean. Then outside to shake off then up onto the grooming table to be blow dried, brushed out, then trimmed. It’s a good 6 hr process. In the spring, summer and fall they get a bath every 8 weeks more or less. Depends on how they smell. I am lucky they don’t like to get dirty so a good brushing and a wash cloth does a good job between baths. I will be bathing one of them this weekend.

Since there is so much dust where we live, now everyone gets a bath just about weekly (sometimes even more!). Otherwise the baths are generally monthly or whenever we have a special event or shoot (which can sometimes be pretty often) :)

  • Joy

    2-4 times

  • SGilbert

Schooner and Skipper during the spring and depending on the mud will get a bath every 2 weeks. During the summer with swimming in the pool or lake they have a bath once a week.

  • Linda Szymoniak

I give my dogs baths based on when they need it and not on a schedule. My senior girl typically gets one bath a month. My Kyoko has oily skin and picks up dirt more than the others, so she gets 2-4 baths a month, as needed. The other three like to play in the dirt and mud, so if they get dirty one day, they get baths. Mostly they get 3 baths a month – some month more, some less.

  • Jennifer Leigh Dace

Well my aussie pretty much gets a bath all year round but not on a schedule. If we are going to ‘grandma’s’ house ( read- my mom) then he usually gets a spruce up. Also if he is in a disc dog competition. And then the unexpected baths come whenever he decides to roll in something stinky here at the farm. Which is some form of pooh or dead animal or some other lovely smelling crud. Lol! Why do they think that is perfume?? :-)

  • Amy Orvin

I shampoo my 2 dogs once or twice a week.

  • Mary Witter

Casey R. Doodle, my 90-lb goldendoodle, shares my office in a local food bank, so he has to be reasonably clean and well groomed. Because we also spend a LOT of time together adventuring around the city and at our favorite dog park, Casey gets a bath about every three weeks or so.

  • Darlene Carbajal

I bathe my dog twice a month during the warmer/hotter months.

During the spring, I shampoo my dogs at least once a month. This is the time when they are out the most and yet it can get hot, so sometimes they get into the dirt to help cool off and need an extra bath. During the summer, once a month is all it takes as they are primarily inside because it’s simply too hot to be outside. There’s just no time to get into the dirt since it’s so important to get them back inside before the mercury hits 100F!

  • http://www.melissamfrye.com/ Melissa “Missy” Frye

I try to shampoo them at least once a month. I’d love to have a professional tub to bathe them in. It kills my back trying to get all three done in the same day.

  • LyricInTime2803

Usually about once a month- I try not to do it more than that as repeated baths can strip them of natural oils and dry out their skin. But I have “touch up” products that can be used to spot wash dirty areas like feet or belly, or make them smell better, etc for in between.

  • Ruckus the Eskie

    Once every 1 month :)

  • Charlene

  • Katie Mitchell

In the summer they Roxy and Molly get a bath every 2 weeks- once a month, right now though Roxy has allergies and is getting a bath once a week with a special shampoo Daisy will probably be getting a bath once a week as she loves rolling in the dirt and running off and going swimming in mud puddles ,etc .

  • kayla Williams

My dogs are both full grown labs that stay inside at night, I let them outside during the day and they always come back DIRTY!! So I sometimes have to bathe them everyday but if they stay clean its every other week!! :)
