We are so humbled to announce that we’ve been named a finalist in the 2014 DogTime Petties awards. Thanks to your nominations, we’re a finalist in the category of Best Active Living Blog for “A blog dedicated to living a healthy and active lifestyle, which includes adventures with your dog.” We’re really honored that you nominated us for our work–which this past year has included a growing recipe section thanks to our new The Healthy Hound Cookbook and a growing travel section due to our Texas with Dogs guidebook.
The winner of the Best Active Living Blog category in the DogTime competition will receive a $1,000 donation to the (501)(c)(3) nonprofit pet rescue or shelter of his or her choice. As our thanks for your nominations, we’d like to let one reader choose the rescue, in the event we win the Petties award for our category. Just as we’ve done in the past when we’ve been nominated for a Petties award, we invite readers worldwide to enter our giveaway for a chance to name the designated rescue, in the event we win. Per DogTime rules, however, the recipient of the donation has to be a US-based nonprofit.
Unfortunately, if we don’t win, we will not be donating cash. Instead, if we don’t win, we will send a big box of pet goodies to the winner’s named shelter/rescue, donated in the name of the winner.
The Petties award is given to the blog with the most votes in every category. We will NOT be asking for votes every day…we promise! So that we’re not out there asking for votes, we wanted to run this via our tried and true giveaway widget.
It’s up to you how often you’d like to enter, if at all; DogTime permits voting once per 24-hour period. You’ll see several ways to enter and can return to the widget any time.
Regardless of whether you vote for us or not, we hope you’ll pop over to the Petties ballot and discover some great blogs to follow!
This giveaway award will only be awarded in the event that DogTipper.com wins the Best Active Living Blog category in the 2014 DogTime Petties. In the event we do not win, we will only provide a consolation prize of donated pet items to the rescue of the winner’s choice.
