Hi! I’m Farrah, and just like the actress I was named after, I’m an “Angel!”
Did you know that Farrah means “joy”? That’s what I plan to give to my forever pet parent– you’re looking at nine pounds of pure happiness! I can’t wait until I find someone special to love. I promise to stay by your side night and day and give you lots of pooch smooches every morning.
Even though you’ll be my BFF, I’ll like all of your friends, too–I have to admit that I’m a little shy around people I don’t know, but once I meet your pals I’ll be their four-legged friend, too! I’m an easy-going gal, and I’ even have a cat companion at my foster parent’s home, so I might like your purring pal, if there’s one in your fur family. I’ve also been known to like the company of my fellow small canines–when you’re a tiny tail-wagger like I am big dogs can seem scary!
As you can tell, I’m a very special girl, and I’m also a girl with special needs. I am presently heartworm positive and am receiving treatment.
Do you think you might want to welcome me into your heart and home? Once you’ve been interviewed and screened by Friends for Life no-kill animal adoption and rescue shelter, you can invite me over to your place for a few days for a “sleepover” before you adopt me. Wouldn’t that be fun? We could stay up all night watching movies, looking at fashion magazines and talking about boys! Speaking of boys, you’ve GOT to check out all the cute guys from Friends for Life who are looking for a forever home! There’s gorgeous George (isn’t he a dream?), Henry (he’s a super smart Pointer/Spaniel who is working on learning commands and leash training– I’ve got a thing for brainy men!) and Century (he’s a Shar Pei/Boxer with the most beautiful eyes I’ve ever seen!)
A one-year-old Terrier mix who has already been spayed and is up-to-date with her vaccinations, Farrah is just one of the many dogs, cats, puppies and kittens (like Chaparro, Sadie, and bonded pair Charlie Brown and Angel) who are one step closer to finding their forever home thanks to Friends for Life, DogTipper’s PawPromise Rescue of the Month. The fastest-growing shelter in Houston, Texas, the no-kill animal adoption and rescue shelter saves the lives of many companion animals who would be considered unadoptable at most shelters due to advanced age, physical limitations, or breed discrimination. The facility features cage-free rooms for cats complete with built-in climbers, and large rooms for dogs with skylights and sniffer holes.
