DogTipper Review: With a real power chewer in the house, we’re always looking for healthy, long-lasting dog chews. Bones are great but they’re just plain messy for in the house.

So we tried a Buckarooz, a deer antler chew. Many features about the Buckarooz were attractive to us:

  • the antlers are filled with marrow high in calcium and phosphorous
  • they’re odorless
  • they can last up to a month (OK, we don’t expect this in our house but, as of this writing, the antler lives on)
  • the antlers are tested for bacteria, chemicals and contaminants
  • the antlers are all from free-ranging white tail deer, mule deer and elk in the US
  • the only processing involves cutting the antlers to size and packaging
  • all the antlers are dropped naturally (deer are not killed)

For our dog, though, only one feature seemed to really matter: the antler was a great chew! She chewed and chewed and chewed. We will definitely be ordering these as a great in-house chewing choice.

Prices: Regular (4-5 inches) $6.79 per package to Monster (10-11 inches), $27.99 per package
