Professional photographer Madalyn Ruggiero, whose work has appeared in publications ranging from O Magazine to The New York Times, aims her camera at a very dear subject for her greeting cards: her dog, Denali. The golden retriever dons a whole range of wacky costumes, from a nun’s habit to nerd glasses to an Elvis getup, for a series of humorous greeting cards.
The cards began as a Christmas tradition for Ruggiero, who posed Denali for cards sent to family and friends. Today the cards are sold at gift stores in several states and online at DenaliTheDog.com.
