Author Louise Murray, D.V.M is donating her royalties for all books sold through Dec. 15, 2009 to help the Darlington County Humane Society in Darlington, South Carolina. Head over to Dr. Murray’s blog for more on this shelter’s really difficult situation (they’re relying on pet food donations to be able to feed dogs and cats and have several animals that desperately need medical help.)
Dr. Murray (who you might have seen on CNN American Morning and Anderson Cooper 360, ABC World News Tonight or Good Morning America) has organized this Darlington Holiday Fundathon to help these shelter animals. Along with the Fundathon, you can help by buying a book early: another donor has committed $500 if they can sell 2,000 books by November 22!
