What It Is: gourmet dog treats

Manufacturer: A Barkers Dozen, Rochester, NY

DogTipper Review: As our regular readers know, Paris likes to make dog treats. They’re healthy, they’re easy…but, generally, they look like dog treats. (The dogs don’t care…but they’re not anything we’d really want to show off.)

If you’re looking for dog treats you can show off, we’ve found a great source: A Barkers Dozen. This specialty bakery makes dog treats that are individual works of art. Regardless of the occasion–a doggie birthday, yappy hour, you name it–you can serve these treats with pride. And you can also serve them with the knowledge that they’re all wheat-, corn- and soy-free and are made using only human-grade ingredients.

The treats that we received are all from the “Summer” line (you’ll also find Fall, Winter, Valentine’s, and more themed treats.) They’re made with Rye Flour, Peanut Butter, Water, Eggs, and each is hand-decorated with a yogurt icing. (Here’s the Guaranteed Analysis: Crude Protein 11.3%, Crude Fat 10.6%, Crude Fiber 3.53%, Moisture 13.19%).

The treats are as cute as cute can be…

…with designs for all kinds of summery occasions…

…and all have an incredible attention to detail…

We were impressed with the design and the ingredients list of these beautiful treats…but what would our dogs think? The treats almost seemed too incredible to eat…but Irie didn’t worry about that…

…and neither did Tiki…

A big paws up for A Barkers Dozen!

Oh my gosh, those are so cute! You’re right, the dogs don’t care as long as they taste yummy. But what fun to see these adorable cookies, and they’d make great gifts for a dog lover too!
