You’ll remember we recently hosted a giveaway for a custom portrait from Pop Art Portraits by Laura. The response to the giveaway was spectacular as so many of you tried to win one of this artist’s colorful and happy portraits of your own pet.
Our winner was Debby; we look forward to seeing a portrait of her dog, Kirby, when it’s completed. In the meantime, though, we wanted you to see the portraits that Laura created of our own Irie and Tiki!
First, we did the only hard part of the whole process: selecting a photo! Here’s what we sent Laura, one of our favorite photos of Tiki, with that hard-to-resist head tilt:
Laura asked if we liked bright colors or more realistic colors…and, of course, I picked bright! Soon Laura came back with these color studies:

Which one did we select for Tiki and Irie’s portraits? We chose the blue (DogTipper blue!) for Tiki’s portrait:

Each of the paintings is fully wrapped around the edge of the frame so it’s optional whether you frame them or not:
