Maytag Rules During Muddy Paws Season! #MaytagMoms

Share with fellow dog lovers!

bed2We participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Maytag. We received a promotional item as a thank you for participating.

After a typically long, hot Texas summer we welcome the coming of Fall and the promise of cooler weather, not to mention the advent of autumn rains to mend our dry landscape. While our neighbors with school-age children have been busy readying their families for back to school routines, we pet parents are also gearing up for the season. The end of summer’s oppressive heat means increased outdoor activities and adventures for us and our dogs as we resume our twice daily dog walks as well as frequent visits to the local dog park and other outdoor areas.

This increased activity has a downside, though, as the restorative September rains mean that the “muddy paw season” is now upon us. Even a short romp around the yard or on our outdoor trails results in our pooches leaving paw prints around the house, particularly on their doggie day beds, our couch cover and our own bedding. (Yes, we are indulgent pet parents who allow our furry family members complete run of our indoor space.) Around here, back to school season also means increased plant allergens in the air and these are regularly carried inside on our dogs’ fur, another reason for more frequent laundering of bedclothes and apparel.

bed1Thank goodness for the labor-saving features of our Maytag Bravos XL washer and dryer which are already getting a workout, due to recent rains from Hurricane Ingrid which has been passing to our south. These Maytag appliances have plenty of capacity to handle large items like the bedspread or even a large dog bed and, because of the washer’s IntelliFill feature, we can wash those items as often as needed without worrying about using an excessive amount of water. This is of special concern to us as we have to rely on our own well for our water supply (one of the joys of country living!)

Since we work from home, it’s easy to dial in the appropriate settings on our Maytag Bravos XL washer with its Power Wash System and let it work its magic while we concentrate on other jobs. We have found that the Heavy Duty and Bulky settings are particularly useful for large items like doggie beds.

As for drying these heavy items, we have learned to love the Maytag’s Timed Dry setting which allows us to precisely set both the drying time and the heat level for maximum efficiency.

Thanks to our Maytag Bravos XL washer and dryer for helping us cope with the challenges of the Fall season!
