Pretty much we always do the same things for the holidays with the dogs. On turkey day, i always make a plate for each of the shelties for dinner, and it does include little bits of our dinner, stuff they enjoy, green beans, a little piece of turkey, Mac and cheese, etc with their doggie food. And on the tv at holidays, we don’t have football on, we usually have the dog show on! My shelties avidly watch some of it with us. For Xmas, I always buy gifts for the dogs, new chews, toys, beds, etc. they love the fun of unwrapping thr paper along with us. We really include our dogs in everything we do at thr holidays, they are not just dogs, they are part of our family and very beloved. This year is harder to get into the spirit. We just lost the most important part of our family a little over two weeks ago. While we love all the dogs, this particular sheltie & my husband had a bond like no other & she was self taught to do a lot of things for him to aide w/the medical issues that resulted in his retiring from the USMC after 24.5 yearsof service. So giving thanks & celebrating is hard for us this year when we are constantly reminded of Missy’s absence. She’s left a big void even with the others here. We are thankful for the others, without them losing her would have been that much harder but it’s not the same as we are missing our girl. There are some absolutely wonderful gifts on this list. I especially love the car seat. Missy was a constant companion in the car, especially during the last year & a half with many countless visits to specialists while we tried to save her. And though I take them all for rides, usually it’s just one at a time with me so this would be something I’d use a lot. Her best friend Tucker has taken over her special seat in the car and keeps me company during my errands now…. thanks for the chance to win these awesome prizes and happy holidays to your family and especially to the furry members. Hold them extra close and give them extra kisses and treasure every moment!
