Introducing Your Dog and Your Cat

Your new dog can become great friends with your cat…but don’t expect it immediately. A great way to introduce your new dog to your cat is through a baby gate or screen door if you might have a screened porch (or don’t mind installing a temporary screen door in your house).
With the cat on one side and your dog on the other, the two will have the chance to meet and sniff each other but, at the same time, they’ll both be protected.
When Fido and Fluffy finally do come face to face without the barrier of the screen or gate, they’ll be much more accustomed to each other.
