Since we all have an eye (make that both eyes) on the budget these days, it’s more important than ever to help dog shelters and organizations. Their dog populations have grown and their donations have dropped in these tough economic times.
Last week we told you about Dogpile.com’s donations to the ASPCA for your online searches. Now we’ve found some more ways you can help without spending a penny:
GoodSearch.com: A site called GoodSearch.com donates money for each of your searches done through their site; they’ve also got a downloadable toolbar. So far, the ASPCA has received $22,000 from the site! You’ll select the charity where your donation should go when you do your search.
GoodShop.com: GoodSearch.com’s sister site, GoodShop.com, donates up to 30% of your purchases made through their site.
TheAnimalRescueSite.com: This site, operated by Petfinder.com, has a unique program: by clicking the link on this page once per day, the advertisers donate the equivalent of .6 bowls of food to homeless animals.
