Staying Flea-Free Naturally

You’ll find numerous flea preventative products on the market but many dog lovers swear by a natural method: rosemary. It’s inexpensive, easy on your dog and environmentally friendly as well.

To use rosemary as a flea preventative, begin by making a rosemary mixture. Add one teaspoon of chopped rosemary to near-boiling water to make a tea. Let the mixture simmer then remove from heat to cool and set it aside for a few hours.

Next, wash your dog with his normal shampoo. After shampooing, change the water so his entire body can soak for about 15 minutes.

Now, add the rosemary tea (now cool) to the dog’s tub and play with your dog in the water for 15 minutes, if possible. When done, take your dog out of the tub and wash your dog again with a gentle shampoo then put him back into the rosemary water for a final rinse.

When done, he’ll have a fragrant flea preventative that smells so nice!
