Shopping And Helping Shelters

As the holidays move closer and our thoughts turn to online shopping, here’s a great program to help animals: Bring Pets Home.

This program allows you to click through their site to participating merchants (ones that range from FetchDog to Amazon to Walmart to Macy’s) and make your purchase. Automatically, a shelter will receive a donation at no cost to you!

You can designate a particular shelter for purchases from many merchants (FetchDog and Amazon.com contributions are donated to the Bring Pets Home Foundation and distributed to needy shelters across the country.)

The donations are substantial (and you’ll see the percentage for each merchant on BringPetsHome.org). In this year when donations are down, these contributions can be a great way to help shelters…without spending an extra penny yourself!

Time to get shopping!
