Celebrating Valentine’s with Your Dog

dog-valentine
Dogs are synonymous with love–so on Valentine’s Day how will you show your dog your love? We’ve got tips from Kimberly Schlegel Whitman, lifestyle expert and author of Dog Parties: Entertaining Your Party Animals, about celebrating Valentine’s with your dog. (Kimberly knows firsthand all about celebrating Valentine’s with your dog; recently the author and her dog Lola took part in Chef Michael’s Be My Valentine Doggie Dinner Party in New York City.)

Here are Kimberly’s tips for showing the L.O.V.E. to your dog on this special day:

Lounge around on the couch together watching your favorite movies and taking in some much needed and much appreciated cuddle time.

Order in food for yourself, but then take the extra time to give your dog a thoughtfully-prepared meal of Chef Michael’s canine creations. Think lots of meat with delicious flavors like Rotisserie Chicken and Filet Mignon, and then topped off with vegetable garnishes.

Valentine’s Day is for gifts, and nothing says I Love You to a dog than a brand new toy or a comfortable, plush dog bed.

Extra special pampering at a grooming salon is essential, so your dog LOOKS as good as he feels.
