Training Your Puppy Right Away

Training a new puppy is difficult for new dog owners; you’ll find yourself thinking, “How in the world am I going to discipline this little guy, I just don’t have the heart!”

But, just like teaching a child right from wrong improves both your life and the child’s, the same holds true for your puppy. He needs a leader.

Loving your puppy is definitely a good thing and huge amounts of affection and caring should be given to your dog on a daily basis. However, you have to provide a balanced dose of training or suddenly your puppy will be much larger with behavior problems to match.

While your puppy is young, you have a golden opportunity to train and socialize him. Don’t forget: in just one to two years time, your puppy will then be considered a “teenager.” And we all know that teenagers can be completely out of control if they were not properly instructed in their younger years.
