Avoiding Artificial Flavors in Dog Food

In last week’s tip by canine nutrition expert Tracie Hotchner, she looked at artificial colors in dog food. Today Hotchner examines a similar topic: artificial flavors in your dog’s food.
Artificial flavors should not be necessary to entice a dog to eat if the basic ingredients are good quality. These chemical ingredients – along with artificial colors – can have long-term health consequences. The label will simply declare “artificial flavors.”
