Cleaning Your Pet’s Fountain with Q-tips

With two dogs and four cats in our house, we got through a LOT of drinking water here. We have two pet fountains that both the dogs and cats absolutely love. We love that it encourages them to drink more water, always a healthy thing for any pet. The only downside? Those fountains have to be cleaned and that means cleaning out even the tiny nooks and crannies.

In the above video, you’ll see how I use Q-tips® Precision Tips™ to clean one of our pet fountains (with the supervision of Coco!) Like the original Q-tips®, these cotton swabs have 100 percent pure cotton at each end but these have a precision, pointed tip at each end! It’s perfect for cleaning out the tiny places in the fountain that we have to clean out every week, such as the intake (which can get stopped up with pet hair). When we’re done with the cleaning, the Q-tips® just go to the trash and that cleanup job is done! Priced at just $2.49 for 170 swabs, it’s easy on our pet budget.

  • Talking of convenience, you should consider the style of the pet fountain. So that you’re pets will become comfortable and will not have any hesitations to drink in a stainless steel pet fountain.
