Doggone South Package Invites Canines to Charleston

Southern hospitality extends to all guests–including the four-legged variety–according to Charming Inns, now offering a new dog package. The Doggone South Package is available at the Wentworth Mansion®, John Rutledge House Inn and Kings Courtyard Inn, three properties in Charleston, South Carolina.
The Package: The Doggone South package includes:
a two-night stay for two people and their dogs at each property a to-go water bottle and dish leather pet-themed picture frame travel-size dry pet shampoo locally made dog treats a South Carolina bandana
“For so many people, their dogs are family members, so it makes sense they want to take them on their vacation,” says Linn Lesesne, director of public relations and group sales for Charming Inns. “We are continuing to book more visitors who are bringing their dogs, and we want to welcome and accommodate our four-legged guests.”
Wentworth Mansion®
Guests who opt to stay at the AAA Five Diamond Wentworth Mansion® will spend the night in a garden suite. The package also includes:
- a daily cooked-to-order breakfast
- afternoon wine and hors d’oeuvres
- evening port, sherry and brandy
- turndown service
- wireless Internet service
- parking
- passes to a local health club
Price: The package price (tax not included) is $889 for Friday and Saturday nights and $799 Sunday through Thursday nights.
Guests of the AAA Four Diamond John Rutledge House Inn will stay in a standard room, and the package includes:
- daily breakfast
- afternoon tea
- evening port, sherry and brandy
- wireless Internet service
Price: The package price (tax not included) is $619 for Friday and Saturday nights and $559 for Sunday through Thursday nights.
At the Kings Courtyard Inn, guests stay in a standard room. The package also includes:
- daily continental breakfast
- afternoon wine and cheese reception
- evening sherry and brandy
- wireless Internet service
Price: The package price (tax not included) is $529 for Friday and Saturday nights and $449 for Sunday through Thursday nights.
Restrictions: All packages must be booked through the hotel and cannot be booked online. The Doggone South package is based on availability and restrictions may apply.
