Frontier Airlines has announced a change in its pet policy. Now passengers can travel with small pets (including small dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters or small household birds) in the cabin of the aircraft for a $75 each-way pet fare. All pets must fit into a carrier that fits under the airplane seat and they must have proper health documentation in order to fly.
“We have spent a lot of time listening to our customers and determining what would make their travel experience even better,” said Ian Arthur, vice president of marketing and branding. “We received a lot of feedback on our pet policy and determined that pets would be a welcome addition to the Frontier travel experience.”
Larger pets over 20 pounds must travel as checked baggage for a $150 fee.
