Paris Hilton in a Harrah's Suite2It’s summertime, and the living is easy for canines on vacation with their pet parents in America’s Favorite Playground as Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City has recently unleashed its new Fido-friendly initiative, PetStay.

For an additional $50 per night, travelers with one or two tail-wagging chums who weigh 50 pounds or less can book one of Harrah’s Resort’s non-smoking PetStay rooms, which are located on the third floor in the hotel’s Marina Tower.

After checking in, canines can check out the hotel’s dog-themed amenities, such as food and a water bowl, dog treats, biodegradable waste bags and a private “relief” area for four-legged guests outside the valet area.

Restricted to the Marina Tower in deference to other guests, the hotel’s puppy patrons on leashes are permitted to walk with their human through designated common areas and will be allowed on the property’s public area, such as the lobby.

“More and more travelers are beginning to have pets join them on their ventures, so it is with this consideration in mind that we extend pet-friendly amenities to our world-class resort,” said Rick Mazer, Regional President for Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City. “With the successful Boardwalk program paving the way, we are extremely pleased to install PetStay here on the marina. Harrah’s Resort is committed to enhancing each and every guest’s experience, even those guests covered in fur.”

Friends of Fidos who check in with their pups will be following in the famous footsteps of the first guest to use PetStay at Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City, Paris Hilton, who helped to kick off the program in May.

The PetStay program originated in 2011 at Showboat, which offers 41 dog-friendly rooms in its Orleans Tower.
