The boys of summer are back on the playing field, and many Triple-A minor league teams have stepped up to the plate to host special dog-friendly game days! Why not “pitch” the idea of watching a Bark in the Park game together to your barking buddy?
The Sacramento River Cats will help both cats and dogs as they play April 23rd in a game that benefits Front Street Animal Shelter. Choose the special ticket pack and not only is your dog’s ticket free, each canine will receive a dog bandana and each pet parent a complimentary hot dog.
The first well-mannered 500 dogs (and a human member of their family) at Security Service Field on May 7th, July 7th and August 9th can watch the Colorado Springs Sky Sox from the grass berm.
Scoring a home run in the hearts of dog lovers, the Gwinnett Braves will host Dog Day Mondays on May 8th, May 29th, June 5th, June 19th, July 17th. July 31st , August 7th and September 4th.
Canines and their two-legged companions can watch the Indianapolis Indians take on the Durham Bulls during Bark in the Park on April 18th, and the Louisville Bats on August 22nd.
Fido-loving fans of the Iowa Cubs will want to give their favorite team a big bear hug for hosting Dogs Days on May 23rd and August 5th!
During Dog Day at the Park games on May 9th, June 19th and August 29th the Louisville Bats will go to bat for the Kentucky Humane Society, with sales of each $3 dog ticket benefiting Kentucky’s largest pet adoption agency and largest no-kill shelter.
Every Thursday is Dog Day for four-legged fans of the New Orleans Babycakes, and on April 22nd the team will host a special Bark in the Park game complete with a dog/pet parent look-alike contest, a dog parade, a pet expo and more, with the day benefiting Animal Rescue New Orleans.
The Las Vegas 51s are number one with their fans for hosting Bark in the Park on April 30th.
It’s a sure bet that barking baseball fans will enjoy watching the Reno Aces play on April 12th, May 17th, July 5th, July 19th and August 16th!
Pet parents and their pups can promenade on the field in the dog parade and cheer for tiny tail-waggers who will tap into their inner athlete for a Weiner Dog Race when the Buffalo Bisons celebrate Dog Day on May 6th. Due to ‘pup’ular demand fans can also look forward to Dog Day 2 on August 28th, which also includes a dog parade as well as in-game promotions.
Rover can root for the Rochester Red Wings for free when they sit with their favorite human in the special “Dog Pound” section in center left-field on April 30th, May 28th and July 5th.
Watching The Charlotte Knights play at Bark in the Ballpark games on May 15th, June 26th, and August 28th will be crowning moments for both baseball buffs and their buddies who bark.
Always willing to step up to the plate for a paws cause, the Durham Bulls will go to bat for Wake County’s oldest no-kill rescue, Second Chance Pet Adoptions, during Bark in the Park games held on April 27th, May 31st and August 2nd. New Bark in the Park packages allow two-and four-legged fans to see all three games and receive a Durham Bulls dog toy.
In 2016 The Columbus Clippers‘ annual Puppypalooza included a dog parade on the field. Who knows what is in store for Spots attending the 2017 baseball bash!
When it comes to making their Fido-loving fans happy the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders have their eye on the ball! The team will play in Bark in the Park games on June 13th and July 5th.
The Red Sox put the ‘Paw’ in Pawtucket with a Bark in the Park day on June 11th that includes a pre-game pup parade.
The Memphis Redbirds will show off their love for our canine companions with an April 30th Bark in the Ballpark game which will include a complimentary dog leash and photo frame so proud pet parents can preserve the memory of the day.
For the barking buddies of baseball buffs in the city known as the country music capital of the world the words “Let’s play ball!” will be music to their ears! On May 9th the Nashville Sounds will face the Memphis Redbirds in a Bark in the Park game that will help raise funds for Retrieving Independence.
A team with their very own rescue dog mascot, the El Paso Chihuahuas will host Bark in the Park games on May 21st and August 13th.
Helping to turn the tide on pet homelessness, the Norfolk Tides will play Bark in the Park games on May 7th and August 6th, with all of the proceeds from tickets for our tail-wagging chums donated to the Norfolk Animal Care Center and the Norfolk SPCA. Along with cheering for their favorite team, if the weather permits pups will get the chance to run the bases with their pet parent after the game.
