Surf City Surf Dog Competition, Sept. 29

Share with fellow dog lovers!

The days are getting shorter, and soon the totally tubular tail-waggers who love to hang eight will have to hang up their surfboards until surfing season rolls around again. Before that happens, however, the rad Rovers will rally once again out on the waves to help turn the tide on the topic of pet homelessness!

Taking place September 29, 2018 in Huntington Beach, California, the annual Surf City Surf Dog ComPETition will include both weight-based and Shredder single dog heats, as well as tandem heats consisting of dog/dog surfing, dog/human surfing and dog/human on a stand up paddle board.

Two Days of Dogged Devotion

September 28

The first wave of excitement happens one day prior to the main presentation, when reveling Rovers and their humans get together for an Opening Ceremony and Pooch Party at Shorebreak Hotel, complete with red carpet photos, a rescue dog fashion show, music and more!

September 29

Find out who will be the Big Kahuna on the big day as surfing dogs show off their mad skills. While canine contestants wow the crowd, sightseers and their sports-loving Spots can also enjoy activities on shore at the Doggy SurFUR Expo.
