2009 Pedigree® Bark in the Park Planned for Charlotte, North Carolina

The 2009 Pedigree® Bark in the Park will take place April 25, 2009 in Charlotte, North Carolina. Organized by Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation, the event moves to a new location this year. Previously at Davie Park, last year’s draw of 13,000 attendees (most with dogs) made event organizers realize the need for a new location, now the old fairgrounds.

Admission: Admission and parking are both free.

Events: Registration for events will be at the festival; look for the following contests and special events:

  • Pooch Parade
  • Pet/Owner Look-a-Like
  • Best Costume
  • Best Bark
  • Largest Dog
  • Smallest Dog
  • Best Trick
  • Frisbee catching
  • freestyle movement

Festival goers will also find exhibits, dog products, adoptable dogs, prize drawings and more. All dogs must enter on a leash, please.
