Kinky Friedman Plans Benefit for His Texas No-Kill Shelter

Celebrity, author, and candidate for the job of Texas governor Kinky Friedman is planning a second Ranch Roundup at his ranch; a portion of the proceeds will benefit the Utopia Animal Rescue Ranch, Friedman’s no-kill shelter.

The fundraiser will include performances by Jerry Jeff Walker and Ramblin’ Jack Elliot as well as Friedman at Friedman’s Echo Hill Ranch. The event will also include dinner with Kinky, a tour of this private home (which has been featured in Friedman’s mystery novels), guided tours of Utopia Animal Rescue Ranch, and self-guided nature walks of Echo Hill Ranch.

Price:
Tickets to the fundraiser are $200 per person and are limited in number; no tickets will be sold at the gate. Tickets go on sale April 18, 2009.
