Deemed “America’s Premier Mountain Resort,” The Homestead is pleased to announce that the presence of pets is now permissible at the historic Hot Springs, Virginia retreat. Both canine companions and feline friends can stay in a specially-designated Garden wing of the venue, which offers views of a lawn where leash-wearing dogs can lounge.

Activities: Guarded by the Allegheny Mountains, the area is dotted with several self-guided hiking trails for you and your tail-wagging chum to explore. After their walk, dogs can be rewarded with a milk bone treat at day’s end.

Rules: Only Fidos weighing 40 pounds or less are allowed to lodge with their owners at the resort at a rate of $50 per pet, per night. There is a two pet maximum, and dogs must be on their leash at all times. A $150 cleaning fee may be added to a dog owner’s bill for failing to pick up after their pet.
