Guide Your Dog to Greatness, a working seminar by Virginia Broitman, is planned for The Dude Ranch Pet Resort in Glen Allen, Virginia this July. This is a working seminar so please bring your dog and lots of tiny treats as well as a clicker if you have one.
This weekend seminar is designed to raise your training skills to the next level with special attention to:
- Choosing a variety of reinforcers
- Smart handling of your reinforcers and “Life Rewards”
- Fading the use of food
- Strengthening the value of weak reinforcers
- Understanding how to use Premack Principle
- Creating a training plan
- Breaking down behaviors
- Knowing when and how to raise criteria
- Building dog’s willingness to experiment with behaviors
- Boosting your dog’s creativity.
When: July 18-19, 2009, 9:00 am – 4:00 pm

Price: Early Registration is $125 before June 1st, 2009; June 2nd and after is $175. Lunch will need to be purchased ahead of time for $10.
