The Oakland A’s will be holding their fourth annual Dog Day at The Park at the Coliseum on Friday, July 17, 2009. You can bring your dog to the park for the game plus plenty of pre-game fun. A portion of the proceeds from Dog Day at The Park will benefit Dogs4Diabetics.
The pre-game fun starts at 5:30 p.m. with a “Pup Rally” in in the North K parking lot. Each dog will receive a goodie bag which includes an A’s bandana and samples of dry dog food from AvoDerm. The rally will also feature a best dressed contest (big dog and small dog), best trick contest, and a contest to choose the dog that looks most like its owner.
Registration: You’ll need to register BEFORE attending. Online registration is required. Deadline to register is Sunday, July 12. You’ll need to bring a copy of a current vaccination document from a licensed veterinarian. Every dogs must wear an ID tag to the game and be accompanied by an adult 18 years of age or older.
When: Friday, July 17, 2009. The schedule of events will be:
- 5:30-6:30 p.m. Pre-Game “Pup Rally”
- 6:15 p.m. Pup Parade on the field.
- 7:05 p.m. Game begins.
Price:
- $15 Plaza Reserved Tickets for fans with dogs ($5 fee per dog will be donated to Dogs4Diabetics, Inc.)
- $9 Plaza Reserved Tickets for extra fans without dogs (maximum of five extra tickets)
