The River City Cluster of Dog Shows in San Antonio, Texas consists of not one but three dog shows featuring local kennel clubs:
- Comal County Kennel Club: July 8, 2009
- Bexar County Kennel Club: July 9 and 11, 2009
- Austin Kennel Club: July 10 and 12, 2009

Along with the dog shows, the event will include several special events and some celebrity appearances.
Friday, July 10 features Stump, 2009 Westminster Kennel Club winner:
Here’s you chance not just to see Stump (the first Sussex Spaniel and the oldest dog to win the Westminster Kennel Club) but to get some photos. He will be available for photo opportunities from 10:30 – 11:30 AM and from 1:30 – 2:30 PM for a $5.00 donation to the “Take The Lead” Charity which provides services to people in the sport of purebred dogs who suffer life threatening terminal illness.
Saturday, July 11 features Cesar Millan, National Geographic Channel’s “Dog Whisperer”:
Cesar Millan, the Dog Whisperer, will be on hand for several special events:
- 4:30 – 5:30 PM Lecture/Q&A at Lila Cockrell Theater (seats range from $40-$75. You’ll need to be seated on the main floor level to participate in the Q&A session.)
- 5:30 – 6:30 PM VIP Meet & Greet ($100 per person)
- 6:30 Cesar Millan will present Best In Show Trophy with AKC Judge

The River City Cluster of Dog Shows is part of the citywide “Dog Awareness Week” from July 6-12 with numerous events that aim to help make San Antonio a no-kill city by 2012.
