The Humane Society of the United States is hosting the Taking Action for Animals conference, the country’s largest animal advocacy conference. This year’s conference is featuring appearances by Ginnifer Goodwin, star of He’s Just Not That Into You, and a musical performance by singer/songwriter Nellie McKay.
Seminars: The conference includes numerous seminars and events including:
- a vegan cooking demonstration
- book signings by Carol Leifer, Gene Baur, Karen Davis PhD, Stephanie Vance, Erin Williams, Jan Cammarata, and Dr. Michael Greger
- seminar topics that range from”Fighting the Good Fight: Grassroots Strategies to End Animal Fighting” and “Helping Animals in the Wake of Economic Crisis” to “Becoming an Animal Person” with Emmy-winning comedy writer Carol Leifer, known for her work on Seinfeld, The Larry Sanders Show and Saturday Night Live
