Bring your dog to the San Antonio Silver Stars game on August 15; you’ll have the fun of watching a WNBA game at the city’s AT&T Center but you’ll also be helping out the city’s dogs! The annual Hoops and Hounds Night
More Dog Fun: The first 1,000 dogs in the building will receive a free dog bowl. You can also have you pets microchipped for free on the Plaza concourse or visit the pet fair to check out other dog-friendly services and goodies.
Adoptable Dogs: If you don’t have a dog to bring but you’re searching for a new four-legged friend, you’ll find several adoptable dogs to check out during the game.
Price: $20 for a ticket package that includes one human ticket, one dog ticket, a hot dog, chips and a drink. A portion of the night’s proceeds benefit OwnUp SA, San Antonio’s No-Kill Shelter initiative. OwnUp SA’s goal is to make San Antonio a No Kill city by 2012.During the evening, the Silver Stars will also be presenting the city’s Animal Care Services with a $2000 check , money raised at a pre-season dinner.
