National Dachshund Races, Findlay, OH, Sept. 26-27, 2009

On your mark, get set….it’s almost time for the ninth annual National Dachshund Races, this year returning to Findlay, Ohio. Throughout the weekend, many area hotels will be offering special rates for competitors and spectators.
Schedule of Events:
Saturday, Sept. 26, 2009
- 10am: downtown sidewalk parade. The racers, with their long bodies, will be paraded through town in long-body limos.
- 1pm: Races include:
- Adult Race: 1-9 years old
- Cart Race for those in a cart – watch them roll down the track
- Puppy Race for those up to 1 year old
- Senior Race for those 9 years and up
- Look for two special races:
- Race for a Cure
- Cuddles Race – This is a new charity started in honor of service dog “Cuddles”. This fund is set up for people who are in need of an alert service Dachshund.
Sunday, Sept. 27, 2009: The day will include 16 events including
- Opening Ceremonies
- Champion of Champions Race – this race will have the winners from National Dachshund Race circuit plus the new Findlay Champions compete for “TOP DOG”
