On your mark, get set, dash! The three-mile Doggie Dash and the two-mile Stroll will be taking place at the Sisters Doggie Dash & Stroll on Saturday, August 29. Proceeds from the event go to help support the Bend Spay & Neuter Clinic so bring your dog and dash. If you don’t have a dog to walk with, they can also arrange to have you walk with an adoptable dog!
Entry fee: Individuals: $25. Family: $50.
Canine Carnival: Throughout the morning, the Canine Carnival will feature dog fun and special events including:
- Dog CPR demonstration by the author of The Safe Dog Handbook
- Live music by dog lyricist Jonathan Hoffman
- lure coursing demonstration from the Mt. Bachelor Kennel Club
- vendor booths
When: August 29, 2009. Doggie Dash starts at 9am; the Stroll starts at 9:10am; and the Canine Carnival runs 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Dog-Friendly Sisters, Oregon: All the restaurants in Sisters will be “Dog Friendly” the day of the event with discounts and coupons for those bringing in their dogs. Additionally, nearly all if not all lodging establishments will offer “Pet Friendly” rooms.
