Expect about 14,000 two-legged attendees accompanied by about 3,500 dogs at this mega-festival that calls itself the Largest Dog Festival in the US!
Contests: Special dog contests planned throughout the day include:
- Dog Costume Contest at 11 a.m.
- Silly Dog Tricks at noon
- Pet/Owner Look Alike Contest at 1:00 p.m.
Activities: Throughout the festival, you’ll find dog-related vendors, demonstrations, kids’ activities and more including:
- A dog water park
- Performing Dogs
- Free Dog Agility Course
- Herding Demonstrations
- 99 cent Rabies Vaccinations
- Rally Obedience
- Flyball Canine Relay
When: Saturday, September 19, 2009, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Where: William Street Park (Corner of William and S. 16th Sts.), San Jose, California
Admission: free; $5 suggested donation per dog
For a Good Cause: All proceeds benefit the CCA, Humane Society Silicon Valley and San Jose Animal Care Center.
