Barktoberfest, Round Rock, TX Sept. 26, 2009

Now in its 7th year, the annual Barktoberfest to benefit the Central Texas SPCA will be held in Round Rock, Texas on Sept. 26, 2009.

Dog Walk: The day begins with a 3K dog walk with free event t-shirts for walkers raising $25 or more in pledges. Registration for the pledge walk begins at 9:30 AM. The 3K walk begins at 10:00 AM.

Festival: The family-friendly festival begins at 10:30 with events including:

  • a canine costume contest at noon
  • live music
  • low-cost microchip clinic
  • Food booths
  • Greyhound Pets of America’s Speed Alley
  • vendors of interest to dog families

Admission: Admission is free to walk participants and kids; a $5 donation is suggested for other adults.

When: Sept. 26, 2009. Walk starts at 10am; festival begins at 10:30am.

Where: Old Settlers Park, Round Rock, Texas. Located off Highway 79, next to the Dell Diamond. The event is at the Lakeview Pavilion about 1 mile inside the park.
