Spooktacular Canine Happy Hour & Costume Contest, Bethesda, MD, Oct. 27, 2009

Humans and hounds alike all join in the Halloween fun at the Halloween Spooktacular Canine Happy Hour and Costume Contest in Bethesda, Maryland. Pet parents can enjoy happy hour specials on food and drinks while pups partake of doggie treats and water then the costume contest begins. Look for prizes for the best doggie costumes and a raffle for various prizes.

Admission: $10 cash per person

For a Good Cause: 100 percent of the admission donations go to the Washington Animal Rescue League.

Restrictions: dogs must be leashed (no retractable leashes), vaccinated and well-socialized. Humans must be age 21 and over.

When: Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2009, 6:30pm-8:30pm. Costume contest starts at 7:30pm.

Where: Tommy Joe’s Restaurant, 4714 Montgomery Lane, Bethesda, Maryland (outdoor patio has heaters)
