Grab your favorite dog costume (and your dog) and head to the 3rd annual dog parade during Knoxville’s Mardi Growl. The fun starts at 11 with the costume parade then continues from noon to 2pm in Market Square with dog contests ranging from best costume to best naked dog, $10 microchips and rabies vaccinations, plenty of pet-related vendors, and animal rescue groups.
Cost: Day of the parade registration is $15; there’s a discount for preregistration.
When: Saturday, Feb. 13, 2010, 11 am – 2 pm (rain or shine)
Where: The parade begins at the downtown PetSafe Dog Park (Summit Hill Drive and Central Avenue) and ends at Market Square in Knoxville.
For a Paws Cause: The proceeds from this event will benefit the Young-Williams Animal Center.
