Following the Beggin’ Pet Parade, the 17th annual PETsMART Wiener Dog Derby invites dachshunds and all canine lovers to enjoy this annual event at Soulard Market Park.
Dachshunds complete three divisions based on age:
- Cocktail Wienies
- Ballpark Franks
- Hot Dogs
After the finals, the winners will receive trophies in a ceremony taking place, appropriately enough, in the Wiener’s Circle.
When: Feb. 7, 2010. Registration begins at 10:00 a.m. at the park; the first races start at 2:00 p.m.
Where: Soulard Market Park
Cost: $10 to register your Dachshund. Admission to the races to watch is free.
