San Antonio is going to the dogs! This year’s River City Cluster of Dog Shows in San Antonio, Texas consists of two dog shows featuring local kennel clubs:
* Comal County Kennel Club: June 17 & 19, 2010
* Bexar County Kennel Club: June 18 & 20, 2010
Where: Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center, Market and Alamo Streets, San Antonio, Texas
When: June 17-20, 2010
Shows begin each day at 8 a.m.; daily best-of-show presentations at 6:30 p.m. Admission fees are $10 for adults and $5 for children 5-12, children under 5 years free. (Children must be accompanied by an adult.) Admission fees are discounted by $2 for attendees bringing bags or cans of dog food which are donated to local shelters.
The River City Cluster of Dog Shows is part of the citywide “Dog Awareness Week” from June 12-20, launching a public awareness campaign that will focus on responsible pet ownership. Dog Awareness Week is a joint effort between city leaders, the media, animal welfare organizations, local veterinarians, and the San Antonio dog community to encourage adoptions and spay/neuter programs.
