Enjoy some bonding time with your barking buddy this year at the third annual Fido’s Festival USA! Along with vet seminars, trade show booths brimming with dog products, and rescue groups and shelters with adoptable pets, this two-day ode to autumn– which has an “OctoberFETCH” theme this year– features plenty of Halloween highlights for the four-legged members of your family!
- Think your tail-wagger has what it takes to be a star? Let Spot show off his/her skills in the Pick-of-the-Patch Talent Contest. Dawn Wolfe from Pawsitively Famous Animal Actors will be among the judges.
- See if your empathic pooch has the special touch needed to be a therapy dog during the Canine Good Citizen Evaluations.
- Rovers can romp around at the Camp Bow Wow Doggie Play Area. Pet parents need not be concerned about rough and tumble Rovers– staff will be on hand to supervise pups’ playtime, and dividers will keep petite pups at a distance from larger dogs.
- Cheer on your favorite dashing dog during a Lure Racing event. The promenading paws will run for a cause– the National Canine Cancer Foundations Lure for a Cure.
- Flying Fidos will make quite a splash at the Ultimate Air Dogs Dock Diving competition.
- A team of Siberian Huskies will wow the crowd as they run in tandem during an Xtreme Weather Kennels dog sled demonstration.
- Your dog will have a howling good time running through the Obsta-ghoul Agility Course with the guidance of WonderDogs trainers.
- Let your pup put on the dog for a Howl-o-ween Costume Contest.
- Athletic hounds head for the playing field for a tail-wagging interpretation of America’s favorite fall sport, football! Find out which high-scoring Spot will be named MVP (“Most Valuable Pooch.”) Sports-minded pups and their human parents can also sign up for Fido’s Frisbee Fetch contest.
- Put your pooch in a ghastly get up and capture your Fido’s most “fur”ocious face to win the Scary Moments Photo Contest.
- Who will be top dog in the Hallo-wiener race? Root for your favorite four-legged athlete as dachshunds make a dash for the finish line.
- Humans also get a chance to howl at the festival! Dog Dads and Moms can move to a ghoulish groove at the Monster Mash Dance Competition!
- Don’t be a scaredy cat– let your inner Michael Jackson out to play as an instructor teaches the steps to King of Pop’s most famous video.
