Just like a happily ever after in the movies, some adoptable California canines will find their forever families at Universal Studios Hollywood as the theme park, in partnership with The Amanda Foundation and the Los Angeles Department of Animal Services, hosts Max to the Rescue: Whoville’s Have a Heart Pet Adoption Fair.
A part of Universal Studios Hollywood’s annual Grinchmas celebration, the Grinch’s ever-faithful Fido Max (himself a shelter rescue) will be the official mascot for two days of tail-wagging fun on December 11 and 12, 2010 as families find their perfect new furry friend. Each adoption comes with a souvenir certificate “signed” with Max’s paw print.
Even if a pet adoption isn’t in your immediate future, you can meet Max the dog during the Grinchmas celebration December 11th and 12th and daily from December 18th through January 2, 2011, when visitors can relive the magic of the Christmas classic amid the original movie sets where How the Grinch Stole Christmas was filmed, watch a nightly lighting of a 60-foot tall tree, and listen to readings of the Dr. Seuss book by True Blood star Stephen Moyer, Brandy, Joey Lawrence, Fred Willard and Jeffrey Tambor.
