Denizens of Dunedin can enjoy a day dedicated to dogs during the 5th annual Mutt March, benefiting the Suncoast Animal League.
The Fido-friendly festivities include:
- Doggie Project Runway, where dog models strut on the catwalk in canine couture as they vie for victory in one of four categories: Mardi Gras or Masquerade Formal, Homemade Chic, Sportswear and Pet-Owner Look-Alike.
- A pledge walk, where canines and their human companions promenade on the pavement in a Mardi Gras-themed parade for a purpose. The biggest fundraisers for Suncoast Animal League will win getaway resort weekends.
- Find out which pooch has the best pipes in the Fido Idol singing contest.
When: February 19, 2011 from 11 am – 4 pm
