Dogs will sport their Easter finery at a pet costume contest at Lee Park in Dallas, Texas. It’s part of “Creek Craze,” an annual event sponsored by the Turtle Creek Association and the Lee Park/Arlington Hall Conservancy.
You can register for the contest online or at the park on the day of the event, beginning at 3 p.m., with the contest to follow at 3:30. There is a $15 registration fee.
Contest prizes will be awarded for:
- Best Dressed Small Dog
- Best Dressed Big Dog
- Best Easter-Themed Dressed Dog.
Pet Glamour Shots will be on hand to provide lasting memories for proud pet parents.
Other family-friendly events of the day include an Easter egg roll and face painting for the kids, live music, and refreshments offered for sale by area restaurants. Admission to the event is free.
When: Sunday, April 17, 2011 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

For a Paws Cause: Proceeds from the Creek Craze will benefit the Turtle Creek Association and the Lee Park/Arlington Hall Conservancy including the Conservancy’s “Canine Conservancy” program.
