Dog parks: what a great invention! Providing a safe, clean, facility for dog lovers and their pets to romp and socialize is surely one of the most important resources our hometowns offer. Well, dog park devotees, here comes your chance to show your appreciation for your local dog park facility.
The Nutro Company, specializing in natural pet nutrition, just announced its second annual ROOM TO RUN™ Dog Park Appreciation Project! Last year, volunteers spent more than 1,500 hours improving parks in 30 communities. This year, associates from The Nutro Company will once again partner with local volunteers to rejuvenate another 29 dog parks across the U.S. and Canada.
This year’s event will vary by location and specific park needs but may include painting fences, providing benches, picking up trash and landscaping. Throughout the rest of May and June, Nutro will be sharing photos and videos of before and after shots, so they are encouraging everyone that attends to take lots of pictures and share them on their Facebook wall. During the event, volunteers from Nutro will be on-site handing out t-shirts, poop bags, tote bags and food samples.
