Fans of Fidos, felines and famous faces will flock to the PetExpo Santa Clarita Valley on May 14th to enjoy a day devoted to compassion and care of all creatures great and small. A happening with heart, a portion of the event’s proceeds will benefit rescues and non-profits.
Activities
- Tap into the mind of the feline as speaker Karen Singleton presents “Secrets of Cat Behavior.” Singleton will also hold a presentation about pooches (“Don’t Shoot the Dog”) later on in the day.
- Dog trainer Kyra Sundance’s talented tail-waggers will wow the crowd with amazing tricks.
- Do you think your Spot possesses star quality? Find out how your tail-wagger can get a Tinseltown gig when Hollywood Paws speaks at the Fox Feed Arena.
- Cheer for Champ, the skateboarding Bulldog, who will perform in the pet Expo’s parking lot.
- Watch rescue Rovers rule the catwalk in a doggie fashion show.
- Peruse for purchases for your pup or purring pal among booths brimming with pet products.
- If you’re looking for a furry friend, adorable adoptables from a wide range of rescue organizations will be on hand. In 2010 more than 80 pets found their forever families at the event.
A lineup of animal-loving luminaries will be on hand, including:
- Mackenzie Phillips: The actress, author and multiple pet parent will welcome visitors at the opening of the expo.
- Linda Blair: The horror movie icon/ President of the Linda Blair WorldHeart Foundation will speak about animal rescue.
- Shorty Rossi, Hercules and Ashley Brooks: The stars of Pit Boss will meet fans of the Animal Planet series and promote the Pit Bull breed.
- Megan Blake: The actress and official spokesperson for Pet Expo USA will welcome guests and announce the Super Smiley Flash Mob Dance.
