Mark and Brian spcaLA Pet Adoption Day, Long Beach, CA, June 11, 2011

Radio hosts Mark Thompson and Brian Phelps may trade comedic quips on 95.5 KLOS’s morning show, but the on-air personalities are serious about the subject of pet adoption. The DJ’s invite fans of Fidos and felines to find a new furry friend at the Mark and Brian Pet Adoption Day, taking place June 11th.

Along with the array of adorable adoptables from spcaLA who will be hoping to find forever families, there will be a number of animal-related activities:

• Pet parents can have their questions concerning their canine or feline pals answered at Ask the VCA Vet and Ask the spcaLA Animal Trainer.
• Attendees will be able to spot some animal-loving stars at the event. Always ready to go to bat for a paws cause, baseball legend Steve Garvey will meet fans, an appearance by the L.A. Kings Ice Crew will give dog devotees something to cheer about , and Tillman the Skateboarding Dog will wow the crowd with his sporting skills.
• Attendees can bid on a bevy of items during a silent auction. One lucky dog will waltz away with a Fender Squier Bullet Strat guitar autographed by Dancing with the Stars contestant/WWE wrestler Chris Jericho, and the person with the highest bid will win an in-studio meet and greet with Mark and Brian.
• Check out interactive booths by Natural Balance, Long Beach Animal Hospital, Stella & Chewy’s, VCA Animal Hospitals, Natura Pet Products and many more.
• Visitors will also get free goodies and the chance to listen in on a live 95.5 KLOS broadcast.
