Nuts for Mutts, Calabasas, CA, June 26, 2011

Enjoy a day of play for a paws cause as the community of Calabasas celebrates the beauty of mixed breeds at the annual Nuts for Mutts walk, dog show and festival, which benefits New Leash on Life and the Agoura Hills/Calabasas Community Center.

Start the day with a stroll for the sake of shelter Spots. Nuts for Mutts The Walk is a 5K morning constitution with your canine for a good cause. Taking place along the Fido-friendly landscape of Calabasas, participants can take breaks with their barking buddies at “pawzstations,” which will provide water, food and entertainment for pets and people alike.

After pounding the pavement with your pup in Nuts for Mutts The Walk, stick around for a catwalk competition as a plethora of pooches promenade in the presence of a panel of celebrity judges for a chance at the coveted ‘Best in Show” title. Canines will be competing in a variety of categories, ranging from the quirky (“Most Ear-resistible Ears,” “Most Toy/Ball Crazy,” Best Wag”) to the classics (“Fastest Mutt,” “Best Dressed” and “Most Beautiful/Handsome”).

Emceed by former MADtv star Debra Wilson and daytime TV star Christan LeBlanc (The Young and The Restless), the event will feature the following Fido-loving famous faces who will chose the top dog in each category:
