Doggy Days of Summer, July 31, 2011, Coral Gables, FL

Florida dog lovers, here’s a pooch-friendly event you won’t want to miss! The Village of Merrick Park is sponsoring its third annual Doggy Days of Summer, an event with lots of fun for two and four-legged visitors. The celebration takes place on Sunday, July 31 and will feature:

  • Doggie parade. For a $5 donation, enter your canine for a chance to win prizes for Best Personality, Best Attire and Best Owner/Dog Look Alike. All participants will also receive a dog bandana.
  • Dog Adopt-a-thon with lots of hopeful pooches from the Humane Society of Greater Miami looking for their forever homes.
  • Framed photographs of you and your dog will be taken with your purchase of $25 or more at the event.
  • Have a meal with your leashed dog at one of the dog-friendly restaurants in the Village.

When: Sunday, July 31, 2011; 2 – 6 p.m. (parade at 3 p.m.)

Where: The Garden at the Village of Merrick Park, 358 San Lorenzo Avenue, Coral Gables, Florida

For a Paws Cause: All proceeds will benefit the Humane Society of Greater Miami.
