Bark in the Park 2, Queens, NY, September 10, 2011

Fidos who love to play fetch can sit back and watch the pros “Play ball!” at the 2nd annual Bark in the Park at Citi Field. Presented by Natural Balance Pet Foods, baseball buffs and their barking buddies will be sitting in the cat bird seat when they take their places in the Pepsi Porch, a designated dog area during the September 10, 2011 game between the Mets and the Cubs.

An event that hits a home run in the hearts of dog devotees, all of the proceeds from the $13 tickets sold to tail-waggers and a portion of the proceeds from $48 tickets sold to two-legged attendees will benefit North Shore Animal League America, the world’s largest no-kill animal rescue and adoption center. Fans who purchase tickets in advance will receive a Mets Lanyard and Ticket Holder.

Along with the chance to watch sports with your Spot, pet parents and their pups can participate in the Dog Parade, weather permitting.

All dogs who attend the game must be dog-and family-friendly, leashed at all times, healthy and fully vaccinated. Dogs will have access to water during the game, and guardians are encouraged to bring treats for their four-awed pal.

When: September 10, 2011 starting at 1:10 p.m.

Where: Citi Field at 126th St and Roosevelt in Queens, NY

  • We are so upset that we missed this (and by only two days)! Our tenants would have love to bring their pups to Bark in the Park, especially the Astoria locals. Is this an annual event?
