You and your pet can enjoy a day of play with a purpose at FuzzFest, a Fido-friendly fete benefiting The Cortland Community SPCA, a no-kill shelter in Cortland, New York.

Celebrity Spotting

• Making the seventh in a series of ‘Pit’ stops across America to promote all the positive aspects of Pitties, Animal Planet personality Shorty Rossi of Pit Boss fame and his famous Fido Hercules will pose for pictures with festival attendees.

Competitions

• Find out which competitive canine will be top dog in the 2nd Annual Pooch Pageant. Categories such as Best Smile, Best Trick, Pet Parent/Dog Look-a-Like and Best Wiggle Butt allows all Spots their moment in the spotlight.

• A mutt strut with a mission, people and pets can promenade in the Tails on Trails Walk-A-Thon to help raise $9,000 for the continued treatment of Rovers who have been rescued during the spring and summer months.

Activities

• Tap into your tail-wagging chum’s inner thoughts with the help of animal communicator Janet Ridgeway.

• Rovers can romp at an off leash dog play yard.

• Discover more about dogs through workshops, interactive displays and demos.

• A bounce house will keep animal-loving little ones busy.

• Attendees can check out a plethora of pet-related products at vendor stalls.

Admission: A donation of the dollar amount of your choice, with all proceeds benefiting the homeless pets at Cortland SPCA.
